Why Charleston has three different types of Roman Architecture

This lecture will be about three major sources of design for early Charleston buildings: Palladio's Four Books (Roman temples), the Adam Brothers' Works (Roman Palaces) and Barry's Traveller's Club (Roman apartments).

Gene Waddell is College Archivist, Adjunct Professor in the Department of Art History, and author of Charleston Architecture, 1670-1860.

The Addlestone Library’s MLA (Modern Language Association) International Bibliography database now includes 40 more years of retrospective content. The online database now covers the years from 1926 to present. Spoleto Photo Exhibit, "A Global Insight Through the Eyes of Kids"

The Marlene and Nathan Addlestone Library will host the Spoleto photo exhibit, "A Global Insight Through the Eyes of Kids," from May 26th - June 11th from 10 am - 6 pm. The exhibit will be located in the rotunda area on the main floor.

Record Spending on Video Materials

According to Shera Scott, Accounting and Library Materials Manager of the Addlestone Library, the library has spent $31,526 on DVD and VHS media this fiscal year as of this morning. This month also marks one year since the library acquired the original media collection, and this expenditure represents the addition of more than 2000 titles since then.
